Annville is a pretty little town, population about 4,500, in central Pennsylvania. It is set in the heart of farming country and it was originally settled by Scots-Irish, followed by the Pennsylvania Dutch. It was German-speaking during the Revolutionary War and there was a heavy influx of Italians around the turn of the 20th century, imported to work in the limestone quarries and at Hershey's chocolate factory.
